The PUC ordered the utility to continue supplying electricity to the casino provided the solar system remains behind the meter—meaning it does not export power onto the wider grid.

“What you’re doing is wrong,” Commissioner Audrey Partridge told the cooperative during Thursday’s hearing, according to news reports. “I think you have lost your tether to the purpose of an electric utility.”

The decision follows a long-running battle over the multimillion-dollar solar project, which the Upper Sioux Community began developing in 2024 to curb electricity costs and advance its clean-energy goals.

When asked his view on what will happen next, Weizer declined to comment, saying: “It’s very interesting. But as I’m sure you can understand, we are not going to answer any questions on litigation.

“We are under legal privilege and confidentiality rules, and we can’t simply take questions on the legal situation. We said what we needed to say following the Spectrum report being released earlier this week. So, that’s all I can say at this point in time.

“I have a lot to say, but I can’t.”

What stands out is how often Spinomenal itself revisits the territory. A single provider maintaining multiple Aztec-flavored slots suggests the theme performs reliably enough across operator networks to justify repeated entries.

It expands Spinomenal’s coverage of a durable theme category

For operators, that consistency has practical value. A recognizable, high-output supplier with deep coverage of proven themes gives casino lobbies dependable filler content that players already understand at a glance.
